The school need to purchase two Ceremonial Swords for the CCF staff who take part in Ceremonial Parades. The staff are teachers who volunteer their time for CCF. We already have an Infantry sword and we now need a sword for each of  the members of staff who represent the Navy and the RAF.

UPDATE: 10/05/22 - BOTH SWORDS HAVE NOW BEEN PURCHASED - MORE DETAILS WILL FOLLOW.

UPDATE: 29/04/22 - the RAF sword has now been paid for, so just the Navy sword is now required.

The total cost of this sword, including inscription and scabbard is £1704.

In 2019 a group of Dukies from 1968 intake, very kindly clubbed together to present an Infantry Sword to the Drum Major.

The swords can be engraved, for example the Infantry sword was engraved “Sons of the Brave – Drum Major Ceremonial Sword” “Presented to the School by the DYRMS intake of 1968”.

If there are a group of Dukies who would be interested in purchasing a sword or if anyone has a sword they would like to donate to the school, please get in touch.

Thank you

Rachel
