OBA Lunch 2023

The OBA hosted the Dukie Luncheon 2023 at the Union Jack Club on Saturday 25th March.

There was an impressive turnout and attendance from a couple of Old Boys of the 40s era up to and including those from the 90s.

Michael King who was at school in the 40s at Saunton Sands has never reconnected with anyone before so this was his first time, at age 90 - so it is never too late!

Jeremy Lewis was presented with his medal by Chairman Chris Barlow,  as the new President of the OBA, taking the place of the late Ted Bartlett who passed away last summer.

There was a good representation of those who were gathering to remember their good friend Allan Mayo who sadly passed away in November at the age of 73, including Peter Vincent who had travelled from California to be at the lunch.

David Eldon who had visited the school for the first time in 50 years a couple of days previously, had flown in from Hong Kong.

There was a great atmosphere as everyone enjoyed reuniting with old friends as well as making new ones and the lunch was rounded off with a good rendition of 'Play Up Dukies'.

The school would like to pass on their thanks to the OBA for another successful event and were honoured to attend.
