Oh What a Night!

Reunion Dinner proved to be a great success once again as 160 people were in attendance.

There were a few groups celebrating anniversaries this year. One group were celebrating 50 years since leaving the school in 1970, postponed from 2020, Graham Chipperfield and friends. Graham had been a great help in the organisation of his 20 strong party providing menu choices, hotel information and even a table plan for me! Graham had also requested to have the Summer's Cup on his table as he had won it in 1970!

Another group celebrating was David Caulfield and friends, they had all started school in 1972 and once again David helped with the organisation of his group to make sure all went smoothly on the night.

The Drum Corps kicked off the proceedings with another fantastic performance which was followed by a very special presentation of swords, details can be found in a separate article.

Don Birch gave a speech about the Memorial Pathway, which honours those Dukies who have remembered the school in their will and then it was time for Grace by Rev Chris Winter and dinner.

The food as always was fabulous and a great evening was had by all.

If you are celebrating a special anniversary next year, why not celebrate in the school dining hall at the Reunion Dinner 2023? All you need to do is get in touch with me and I can help you to organise everything.
