About Us

The WRA club exists to enable hockey friendships, social activities and to find financial and physical resources from across the alumni to develop hockey at the school. In time a playing body will be developed that builds on the annual TDA matches, entering local festivals. The club will be perpetuated by WRA graduates joining it as part of the WRA programme.

The goals of the WRA

- have a positive hockey experience by creating an environment where hockey is fun, enjoyable and players have a sense of achievement

- progress to perform at their best providing players with the opportunity to develop their individual hockey skills and apply them in competition.

- be motivated to join the wider hockey community through awareness, confidence and enthusiasm to continue to be involved in hockey after leaving the WRA.

The key activities

Competitions: Outdoor and indoor hockey;

Internal and external games: Training, WRA coaching sessions, Support in accessing external training;

Visits & Tours: Club links, Domestic and International;

Sport Science: Video analysis, Health and fitness.
